Spray Tester
[Section - Fabric] |
| |
| |
The HIROSHIMA Spray Tester is especially suitable for measuring the water repellent efficiency applied to fabrics particularly plain woven fabrics. |
Principal: |
| |
Water sprayed against the taut surface of a test specimen |
| |
under controlled conditions produces a wetted pattern whose |
| |
size depends on the relative repellency of the fabric. |
| |
Evaluation is accomplished by comparing the wetted pattern |
| |
with pictures on a Standard chart. |

Equipment : |
The equipment consists of a hoop which is of 6-inches in diameter and is placed at 450 from the base. The funnel is placed on the stand in such a manner that the spray falls exactly in the centre of the hoop. The funnel is further tightened with an Aluminium Spray nozzle which is as per AATCC standards. The distance between the spray nozzle and the specimen is 150mm. The appearance of the specimen is compared against an optional photographic scale which can be procured separately and is not included with the above equipment. |
